In Memory of Javier Castro

On August 11, 2018 Ariana turned 16 years old. Everyone was getting ready to celebrate her big day including her dad who was so excited for his little girls birthday. That night he spent it in bed not able to keep his eyes open. The next day on August 12, 2018 Javier Castro was admitted to his local hospital for his excess sleepiness and loss of balance. When an MRI was done they found what seemed to be a tumor in his brain. On the 14th he was transported to JFK hospital where he caught a chest infection that spread to his blood and progressively got worse. Antibiotics weren’t helping the infection and steroids weren’t helping the swelling of his brain go down. His family was told he only had a few days left to live. On August 21, 2018 Javier was pronounced brain dead. And the next day will be taken off the ventilator. His family wants to bury him but financially aren’t able to. They are trying to make the money to bury him so his family can visit him. He leaves behind a young daughter who had turned 16 the day before his admission. He also leaves 2 step daughters and wife that will miss him dearly.
