Tom Hay’s Road to Recovery

It’s been just over 3 years since Tom’s nightmare began. December 2021 early stage collectoral cancer, which he had time off work to have it removed, went through chemo and radio and got in great shape as a way of fighting back. Scans in Autumn 23 not convinced if there was or wasn’t anything there.

Jan 24 had major surgery in February with bowel cancer that resulted in 2 weeks in hospital with complications.

After being home for roughly 3 weeks, took a turn for the worse and ended up with sepsis. Took back in and emergency life changing surgery performed. Had to make a few life changing decisions, with further complications, just a nightmare 3 year’s that’s hopefully over so he can start his long recovery not just physically but also mentally.

Tom is a proud hardworking family man and would be the first one digging deep if anyone of the lads needed help, now despite his proud attitude he’s the one needing our help, that’s why I am reaching out to friends, family and the sparky community to help alleviate the financial burden of not been able to work and the cost of living in his long road to recovery.

If Iv learned one thing in my years as an electrician it’s seeing us all pull together in one’s hour of need. Anything big or small will be greatly appreciated. Please also leave a message to help keep his spirits up.
