This adorable little 2.5 year old girl is Reese.  Reese has Cancer.  Her cancer treatment requires an unreal amount of Chemo to "Hit it Hard, and Kill it Fast!" The Chemo is agressive and takes a huge toll on her little body.

Her parents, Josh and Kelly have taken her fight head on. They are currently living in the Ronald McDonald House next to Children's Hospital so that Reese is always within 30 minutes of emergency care.

While many of you reading this have the privilege of knowing and loving her, others might not.  So, let me share that she is the definition of joy.  Her infectious laugh and smile can brighten the gloomiest day and her bigger-than-life personality wins over everyone she meets.  At an age when the only thing she should be worried about is how she can get out of nap time, she has had to deal with much more complex concerns.

I’m starting this account in combination with her many other family members who love her.  We all know that when people we love are going through a difficult time, it’s hard enough just to walk beside them on their journey. However, nothing is quite as painful as watching your children dealing with illness and feeling helpless.

On February 26, (Her Daddy's Birthday) Reese’s Dad Josh  noticed a swelling on the side of her neck.  That was the beginning of what has turned into a living  nightmare that has included numerous medical appointments, repeated false diagnosis’, inconclusive testing, weeks and weeks of waiting for answers, heart wrenching doctors’ appointments where her parents had to help the doctor hold her down while wrapped like a burrito for yet another aspiration, and procedures that have caused increased discomfort, required her to be put under general anesthesia and have put an even greater  strain on her already weakened immune system.  They even had a biopsy for cancer come back negative all to find out months later that it was in fact cancer and a very rapidly growing one called Burkitt's Lymphoma.

We are asking for everyone’s help in supporting Reese, her parents Josh and Kelly and her sister Ella.  The medical costs to date (before the cancer diagnosis)have reached over $3000 out of pocket, not to mention the costs associated with the numerous trips to the hospital, and time/wages loss.  No family should have to worry about how they are going to take care of their basic needs and pay their bills when they are dealing with an ill child.  Please helps us bring some relief to the family and show them they are not alone on this journey.
