Looking at the 72 Angels in a different light.......
As a follow-up to the first BIRTH ANGELS book released in 2004, the BOOK OF DAYS represents my deepening co-creative work with the 72 Angels on their respective days of "heart-influence." Every book in this 5-volume series contains a "daily wisdom" from each of the 72 Angels as they cycle through the current season, beginning with Spring, March 21.
From at least the beginning of recorded time, Angels have been in the imagination, religious histories, spiritual literature, art and experiences of humankind. But for all our long-held concepts of Angels as Divine messengers, guides and guardians, their roles in the cosmos and in human life are much deeper than perhaps we have ever realized. In this millennia-old, long-hidden tradition within a mystical Judaic Kabbalah influenced by Christian Gnosticism, Sufism, Neoplatonism and Hermetics, the 72 Angels are revealed as 72 "angles" of the Divine Light-Being which dwell within our own human beingness to help us become more powerfully and wholly-human. By amplifying the Divine qualities carried within our souls, the Angels increase our "image and likeness" to the Divine -- and thus enable the Divine to expand Its presence on Earth through each of us and our own creations.
The grace we experience in daily communion with the 72 Angels helps us to see ourselves and each other in a different light -- “ to know that because the Divine dwells within us, we are never "only human." As the Angels in their daily heart dominion help us to heal and ennoble our feelings and thoughts and to cultivate self-love and heart-wisdom, we can begin to express the full spectrum of the unique Divinely "hue-man" being that we each came here to be and express. By understanding the Angels as "angles" of Divine Light, shining forth across the cosmos and into Life as a multitude of qualities that express the diversity within the Oneness, we come to realize that it takes the totality of humankind and the beings and things of the natural world and beyond to reveal the vast diverse nature of God. Perhaps most importantly we might see that we are here to magnify and fulfill the opportunities in our differences to "˜flesh out' our own piece of the Bigger Picture that we each are -- even while there is an ever-present opportunity for us to connect with each other on the inside, in our sameness of heart.
