American Open Championships

Hi! my name is David Page. I am a bilateral above the knee amputee with some pretty big aspirations!! I was born with a rare leg deformity that would not allow me to walk normally. As a result an amputation of both legs above the knee was necessary for me to live a normal life. Seventeen years later, I am living my life to the fullest. In my high school years I have competed in football, wrestling and powerlifting. I soon developed an intense love for lifting heavy weights and I pushed myself in every training session. The result of my hard work and dedication lead me to compete in the sport of Powerlifting at the Endeavor Games in Edmond, Oklahoma. I was inspired by the athletes and coaches love for the sport and was determined to pursue my dream of someday qualifying for the Paralympic Games. As a result I have competed at the 2014 IPC Powerlifting World Championships in Dubai, UAE and am gearing up to compete at the American Open Championships in April 2015.
