Please help Tank!

Tank is a big beautiful boy living his best life with his loving family in Toronto's East End. He's a 6/7 year old mixed breed rescue dog - sweet, gentle , bouncy, and some of his favourite past times include being a comfy furry pillow for his little brothers and sisters. Tank took a horrific fall out of third story window and has sustained some pretty serious injuries. He was barking at a dog passing by and tumbled out the window of his boy's bedroom. Tank's kids witnessed his horrific fall and are of course traumatized and desperate to have their dog brother back!
Tank's family lives in housing Co-operative in Toronto and the buildings are a century old. The aging windows have been an issue for sometime and the window that Tank fell from was broken and missing a screen. Many of the improvement initiatives, including window upgrades to the co-op have been paused due to Covid19.
Tank was admitted to ICU at VEC on Yonge Street in Toronto and will now require extensive surgery to repair the ligaments in his front legs. The surgery costs $12, 000 and that price has be re-quoted at several clinics as a specialist is required for this procedure. Please see updates for new clinic pricing and estimates for TWO separate surgeries (one on each leg) that could be completely more quickly and economically than VEC was offering.
Currently, Tank's legs are splinted and he's heavily medicated while we try to generate the funds for his surgery - which he needs ASAP! The family could really use all the help they can get! While the price tag is large, so is our community initiative and we are confident we can get Tank the help he needs.
