This trip will give the members a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to sing and fellowship with choirs from around the world and to learn new and various choral techniques and traditions; it will put BIC in a unique position to represent Brooklyn, NY as interdenominational music ambassadors; and it will serve as a testament to the international ministry that Christians all over the world are a part of.
The Brooklyn Interdenominational Choir (BIC) is a community choir under the direction of accomplished musician, choral director, composer and producer, Frank A. Haye, a founder of the group. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz and City Council Member Letitia James announced the formation of BIC in June, 2010 at Brooklyn Borough Hall. BIC both reflects and celebrates the diverse cultures and neighborhoods of the Borough of Brooklyn and the City of New York. The choir is comprised of talented and dedicated vocalists and musicians who are committed to bringing people together through music. The mission of BIC, as a group of performing ambassadors is to spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, performing nationally and globally. Members receive world-class musical training and have an opportunity to fellowship with musicians from diverse ethnic, religious, and social backgrounds.
