Help Charlie see again

Charlie came into Waterford dog pound some months back, partially sighted and obviously missing someone. The pound is hard for most dogs, but for a soft little guy like like Charlie, who is almost totally blind, it was devastating. He cried like a baby and lost weight in there from stress. Thankfully our appeal for a fosterer was successful and we found a lovely kind family to take care of him. He has been doing great there settling in well, gaining weight and getting on well with everyone, even with the cats.

We were also able to get him to the wonderful Michael Woods, who is an eye specialist, to see if there was anything that could be done for his sight. In depth tests showed that it may be possible to restore vision in one eye for Charlie. This would make such a difference to Charlies quality of life and open up far more rehoming options for him. He will undergo surgery in June and we need to raise €1500 to cover the costs and help Charlie see again.
