My name is Avery, I am Mackenzie Bewley’s dad. Last year Mackenzie lost her mom to nasty cancer in September. With only a week away to graduation Mackenzie went to hang out with her friends. On Saturday even around 930 pm. She was riding in her boyfriends car with 2 more friends. The driver lost control of the car on a rain slick road and hit a tree and the vehicle burst into flames. All 4 died at the scene of the crash. Mackenzie was able to make her mother proud by becoming a certified nurse aide. This year ever though she was battling through depression and grief of losing her mom . She rose to the top and and became a certified ekg technician. Over the past few weeks I have seen her work harder and become more happy than I have seen her in awhile. I believe because of a certain someone had come into her life and made her see herself again and believe in herself again. She was smiling more . She was a smart and beautiful young lady with the world in front of her!!
