Van for The Anderson's

Gail Anderson is a full-time student and single mother of 5 amazing children. A few years ago she was brutally attacked by her ex-husband and life as the Anderson's knew it had changed forever. As Gail recovered she also became the sole provider and caretaker to her children, as their father has been incarcerated since the attack. Providing for 5 children as a single mother is no small task, but Gail handles it with grace, dignity and faith, all with her sense of humor intact.



She is a constant, supportive, positive force with the kids and is incredible in making sure the children are involved in as many activities as any other family. Her soul, energy and amazing attitude are a testament to just how incredible this woman is for choosing to not be a victim but to set forth a better life for her and her children. Gail's commitment to providing a life for her family inspired her to go back to school and she will graduate from CenterPoint Massage in the Spring of 2014. She is constantly taking care of others, whether it be her children, taking Lindon to speech and occupational therapy and cardiac appointments or the people that she helps through her study of massage. Gail has such an amazing spirit and is such a joy to be around. She is one of those people where you can truly say, "I am blessed to have her in my life".



Her children, Blake-11, Lindon, Sterling, Ian and Reid-all 8, are just as amazing as their mother. As they accompany Mom to 5K's (they are a fantastic cheering section), gatherings of family/friends, or to many other community activities, they are always well behaved, respectful, amazing kids. Gail is also committed to being active with the kids as they go on bike rides, runs/walks, rollerblading, etc. and participate and many other activities throughout the year. The kids are also involved in hockey (through the blessings of scholarships and free used hockey equipment events) and having 4 kids in 4 different leagues provides quite the logistical challenge. She is a classic "hockey" mom in Minnesota and is in need of some help with transportation. Gail has set up an account at gofundme.org and needs to raise $7500.00 for a van. But we can do more. As the children grow older and become their own individuals, interests will change, and knowing Gail, she will do whatever she can to encourage and support their dreams and goals. Doing so alone, is not easy, financially or emotionally, but the love she has for her children, ("the babes" as she lovingly calls them) is no match for the hardships she faces.
