Franklin's Kidney Transplant
At the young age of 17, Franklin Navarro was stricken by a disease called Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. (FSGS) is associated with morbid edema, Low protein in the blood, hypertension and eventually kidney failure. Franklin is my son and he is now 27. He lost his kidneys ten years ago and by God's grace, along with the wonderful people who assisted him, he was able to secure a kidney transplant. On March 2013, his transplanted kidneys failed him and is extremely ill once more. He is currently on dialysis 3 times a week and each session lasting 5 long hours. Due to the intensity of the sessions, he is extremely weak and being unable to function properly.
God has once again illuminated an opportunity to be re-transplanted, but we need your help. This type of surgery has an average cost of $260,000 and as a father I am in desperate need. Franklin wants to be able to live a normal life again. He is simply NOT ready to give up! In our hearts we feel God doesn't want us to give up. Our goal here is to raise $20,000 dollars.
