Hello,
For those of you that don't know her, this is our long time friend and coworker Brigette Carrette. She is a wonderful, big-hearted person who has the ability to make everyone around her laugh. Brigette is 47 years old. Sadly, she recently was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. On November 21st, Brigette underwent a complete hysterectomy. She is currently in the process of recovering from her surgery while preparing to fight for her life. In the upcoming weeks and months she will be undergoing intensive chemotherapy sessions.
Brigette is a self-employed stylist, and works two jobs to support herself. The cost of her medical care will be tremendous and unfortunately she has very limited medical coverage. Additionally, being self-employed means that while recovering and receiving treatment Brigette will have no source of income. At Talking Heads Salon we have had an overwhelming amount of people ask how they can help or contribute, and we thought this would be a good forum to use.
We are asking that you consider making a donation to help a very deserving person who needs support during this difficult time with the cost of her medical and living expenses. It is our hope that raising money for Brigette will alleviate some worry for her regarding her finances, and allow her to focus on what is truly important-healing. Whether or not you are able to contribute to this cause, we would ask that you please keep Brigette and her family in your prayers. We are very hopeful!
