On Monday, June 4th, I was accompanied to Methodist hospital with my loving, beautiful wife and amazing, supportive parents. We went into the day optimistic and looking for resolution to my ongoing stomach issues. I went in to have a scope and biopsy and when I awoke I was met with the results of having pancreatic cancer. Being in relative shock I didn't ask many questions but once we left I was able to start doing my research on this and have found this to be one of the worst, if not the worst, cancers to get. The prognosis and treatment are not good and it will be a difficult road ahead but with the love of my God, my family and friends we will hope for the best. Last night after diagnosis, I prayed that God send me an Angel of healing and all I can describe is that my entire body became very warm and I entered what I can only describe as a state of euphoria. I will be hoping to have that again tonight. Today I was contacted and will be having a PET scan tomorrow and a meeting with an oncologist on Thursday. I have to say in all of this my biggest sadness is that there is a very good chance I won't get to grow old with my amazing wife. I waited so long to find someone that would love me as much as I love her and I found it, but with sadness out long journey together may be cut very much shorter than I would have hoped. Also, my son Jaxon, the best kid ever whom has my heart endlessly, I looked forward to seeing him grow and I wanted to be able to teach him everything I knew. I wanted to make him be a great man and see him become that. We have been debating on doing this, it isn't really us to ask for help. We know and understand there is a long road ahead of us. Please do not feel obligated to help monetarily, this money will help us cover a few expenses we have incurred and mostly our deductible for our insurance. Prayers are always welcome. Amen.
