The Bernie Murff Family Memorial Fund

My dear friend and fellow Holy Rosary Mom, Emily Murff, tragically lost her husband, Bernie Murff on Sunday December 1st, 2013. Bernie was 41 years old. It was a sudden and fatal heart attack, with no prior warning signs. Bernie was a Chef, and a teacher at L'Ecole Culinaire in Memphis. Emily is a 4K Teacher's Aide at Holy Rosary School. She is an amazing woman with a heart of gold who was absolutely BORN to work with children. When I hear Ms. Emily interacting with the kids, my heart melts a little bit every time....and I think, I wish I coud have just a fraction of the patience, understanding, and wisdom she has, when I'm dealing with my own 3 rambunctious boys. Their only son, George, is best buddies with my son, Ben, in first grade at Holy Rosary. George is a smart, funny, silly, little 6 year old boy,(almost 7-his birthday is Dec 27), who loves Star Wars, lego, and all other things boy:)

This fund has been set up to help sweet Ms. Emily and little George with the financial burden that they are sure soon to face. The loss of the primary breadwinner in the house is a blow that no one expects. Even with the most prepared amoung us, there is rarely enough to sustain the ones left behind with a life anywhere close to how they had been living before.
