Portable O2 Concentrator for Jason

Donation protected

My name is Jason and I have a disability. There, I said it. I've always been one of those hard headed, "I'm doing just fine," not looking to bother others with my problems kind of person. So admitting when I could use some help can be a difficult thing for me. So I'll try to spare you my life story... Back in 2004 I was diagnosed with Chronic Myloid Leukemia, a cancer in my bone marrow that causes havoc on the body including death. The following year I received a stem cell transplant at the Karmanos Bone Marrow Transplant unit in Detroit. This procedure effectively cured me of the CML, however, through a side effect called Graft vs Host Disease I ended up with greatly reduced lung function. This has been diagnosed as an untypical form of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. These are being treated with a couple different medications and bottled oxygen as needed. However, due to circumstances currently out of my control, my lung function is to the point where I need a source of oxygen when I leave my apartment. Which isn't a problem if I'm only gone for a few hours since I have a home refill machine. This unfortunately doesn't help if I'm travelling to visit friends and family out of town, and airlines forbid oxygen tanks. My goal for this GoFundMe is to be able to purchase a portable Inogen One G3 System oxygen concentrator. This small machine would help me greatly and i wouldnt have to worry about running out of O2 while lugging tanks around. Thank you for your consideration!
