Art Educator Residency in Puebla, Mexico
Donation protected
We have been accepted to participate in a cultural exchange in Puebla, Mexico as Artist Educators. The purpose of the journey is to facilitate a program via an Art Educator workshop with teenagers. The organization we will be working with is called Arquetopia. The medium will be creative writing, mixed media art, and vision board mandalas. We will guide the students in reflection and exploration of self identity and authenticity as individuals and their communities. By creating four sets of vision board mandalas the students will hone their sense of voice and become empowered to make change in their communities and larger society. By the end of the workshop we hope the students will become creative agents of change.
Arquetopia provides room, board, supplies, studio space, and other resources to their resident artists at a reasonable fee. We are looking for support from our community here to be able to participate in this cultural exchange. Please consider giving anything you can to help us make this happen. In exchange we will send you updates on the work we do, or other various rewards depending on the level of your contribution.
Thank you so much for your help. We hope you will embark on this journey with us of building global communities through cross-cultural healing and greater understanding of our neighbors as people and artists. Much love to you all!
