Patrick's Fight Against Cancer

As some of you may know my father was recently diagnosed with cancer. The cancer is a stage 4 tumor in his throat and was blocking his airway making breathing almost impossible. This morning he went into emergency surgery to remove the tumor to allow for normal breathing. In doing so the doctors performed a laryngectomy which removed his voicebox.  This will leave him with diminished taste and sense of smell for the rest of his life, along with an artificial voicebox where he will have to train his body to speak again. After all of this is done his voice will never be the same. This has put an unexplainable amount of stress on our family but we continue to pray for his health and spirit, especially with his pre-existing conditions.
