Veterinary bills for rescued injured puppy
Hello, everyone!
I’m Rob. My wife and I are trying to raise money to cover veterinary costs for a dog she found in our neighborhood.
Bruce, as I’ve come to call him, has suffered a gunshot wound to his right leg. Though the bullet was removed, his “elbow” was shattered when he was shot. He will likely lose this leg. He’s also tested positive for heartworms, which isn’t cheap to remedy (usually about $1,000).
The initial visit with the veterinarian for diagnosis (x-rays, shots, etc.) cost $500, but it will likely cost another $2,000-3,000 to address all his immediate medical needs.
Bruce is a sweet boy who deserves some loving medical care from a veterinarian. He didn’t ask for his situation, and we can’t walk away without at least trying to make things better for him.
So, if you can find it in your heart to donate whatever you can, Bruce will gratefully accept your help with all the licks and wags he can muster!
