Morgan’s Medical fund

At age 13 Morgan had her first grand mal seizure. She was well maintained with medication and very active in sports and school. One day her sophomore year of high school her medications suddenly stopped working that day would forever change our lives. Morgan spent the next several months in and out of the hospital and Dr’s offices she was put on 15 different epilepsy medications and combinations nothing worked for more than a month. She could no longer attend school and had to be sedated most of the time.  Morgan cannot be left alone and many work days have been cut short and cancelled due to her increase in seizure activity.  Morgan has a rare progressive genetic epilepsy that is resistant to epilepsy medications. On March 18 she had her first of 2 craniotomy surgeries to attempt to control her seizures and protect her brain. Morgan had 2 areas of her frontal lobe resected each containing gliotic tissue that is still in pathology. Morgan is recovering very well at home. She will need continued speech therapy to reconnect some wiring. Between her DNA testing, over 30 days in the hospital in 4 months, protective equipment and 2 neurosurgeries her bills are far more than we can pay and keep someone with her at all times. At this time Chris is working up to 5 24 hour shifts a week and I work in between when I can as well as get her to her appointments and therapy. Morgan is incredibly strong and is pushing as hard as she can to get back on her feet and back to school next year. She is hopeful to be able to play softball again by her senior year. If anyone is willing to help in this time it would be greatly appreciated.
