Needs Medical Procedure

I'd like to continue to see the world around me and be of service to others as effectively as I can. However, I am losing my vision. I am diagnosed as legally blind in my right eye. I was laid off my job in May of this year and have been on the job hunt since that time and have only a small unemployment stipend to live on and that will expire next month (Dec). Limited vision is affecting my ability to be employable and my options are running out. I have navigated other resources for help with insurance, but these have all, up to now, been unsuccessful.
This is a truly humbling experience and I find it difficult to ask for help from others, but I will become sightless if surgery is not done soon, as the condition affecting my right eye is also developing in the left. I have been informed that the surgeon's fee for one eye is close to $2,000, the medical facility fees for the operating room, etc. is around $5,500 and that does not include the anesthesiologist so I am supposing that fee to be similar to the surgeon's. I have estimated the total cost to be close to $10,000.
The gift of sight is priceless and I am finding out just how true that is. I am staying optimistic despite all that has happened. I know others face even more serious problems and I wish to become whole so that I can pay it forward to them.
I want to take this opportunity to say thank you to those in my life who have already reached out to me to help and I shall be forever grateful for the compassion of others. May I learn from their selflessness.
I welcome any questions about my request so please contact my facebook page or email and I will answer them openly. I can also provide documented proof my situation if need be.
Thank you, thank you, thank you friends, family, and strangers for your kindness. It will neither beforgotten nor unrewarded.
