Danny's Medical Bills

Hello all!  This is an appeal for help regarding the injury of one of the softball players on my team.  Danny Perry was injured on Saturday August 25 playing softball after making a diving catch.  His shoulder shows complete separation and the collar bone is almost 2 inches out of place.  They could not put the shoulder back into place at the emergency room.  This is especially worrisome because Danny could lose full mobility of his shoulder if he is not given the proper care.  Danny works at a skilled rehab and nursing facility where he was 2 weeks away from having insurance benefits.  It is unlikely he will be able to return to work since his job is patient care and involves lifting and moving patients.  He is completely unable to perform this job now.  Danny and his partner Megan have 3 wonderful boys and this loss of his income will greatly affect this tremendous family.  They have been through a lot in the last year with the loss of loved ones on both sides of the family and also the illness of Danny’s father.  Danny and Megan have brought Danny’s disabled father into their home and have been caring for him full time.  This and many other challenges face them in the very near future.  These are some of the nicest people I know and Danny has been one of my most loyal friends.  He always tries to see the good in everyone and would give you the shirt off his back tomorrow even under the current circumstances.  While we cannot possibly collect enough to pay for Danny’s medical expenses I would like to set a goal of $ 5000 to help the family get through this rough time.  Please donate!
