Help Hurricane Victims
My name is Peggy Wainscott and I live in Milton, Kentucky. I am asking on behalf of family in Houston. My daughter, son-in-law and two grandchildren are in a terrible situation because of the Hurricane.
I know they are just one family among thousands...
All I can say is we feel helpless at this point because we live so far away. We are not wealthy and we are counting on the kindness of strangers for prayer and any help we can get.
My daughter is in poor health, my son-in-law's job is in limbo due to flood damage, my granddaughter and grandson were supposed to start school this week...both of their schools are flooded. All are in a state of shock.
Their home is damaged beyond repair and mold is setting in on the furniture and belongings they were able to salvage from the water. Their insurance covered "water damage", but NOT flooding! And they don't even have a place to store their remaining things.
They need money to get into an apartment or house, buy water, food, clothing, shoes and basic necessities ....FEMA still hasn't gotten to them.
We are desperate. Please, help if you can.
