Susan Franko's Bone marrow transplant
Donation protected
Susan has been fighting leukemia for almost 4 years now, recently her disease has accelerated and became extremely aggressive causing her medication to stop working and she has become very very sick. She was sent to mayo clinic in Rochester about a month ago when she was going into organ failure. The doctors have decided because of how aggressive and devastating her leukemia has become that her only option is a bone marrow transplant. However they need to get her disease under control first in order to do the transplant. She will be in Rochester receiving blood and platelet transfusion daily as well as other streatments and chemo. They are searching for a donor so can be ready when time comes. She is expected to be there in Rochester for five to six months at least. This is going to be very difficult on her and husband financially...any help every penny is much appreciated.
