Renewable Women Creating Reusable Goods
Donation protected
Mission Wear, a non-profit organization, was created to provide jobs for women who are chronically unemployed due to obstacles like a history of addiction, incarceration, felony or homelessness. They are all in recovery and need to get back on their feet. Employment is critical to their re-entry into society. We hire them to create products--mostly bags--from recycled fabrics like marketing banners, burlap, denim and upholstery materials. They have the opportunity to work with us for up to 2 years with the end goal being full-time employment and self-sufficiency. 75% of our operating costs are raised from the sales of our products, that means 25% of our operating costs come from generous tax-deductible donations made by our supporters--Please go to www.themissionwear.org for more information. And Please spread the word to those who would be interested in supporting the women of Denver. Thank you!
