Love & Yoga for Lena

Hello friends,
I have never done anything like this before but feel compelled to do something. I recently found out my 27 year old cousin contracted AIDS in Russia. Her condition is severe due to a secondary infection and she has lost sight in one eye, losing sight in the other, has a horrible stomach ulcer and due to a recent stroke can't speak or move properly.
Even if she could get the best care in the world the sad fact is that Lena will be disabled. the Russian public health care system is so bad that the patient must supply everything from sanitary gloves to sheets and in her case her own medication. The medication that she needs is viral but very expensive.
On Sunday 1 December 2013 is World AIDS Day. I will be holding a yoga class at Inna Bliss Yoga in Bulimba at 11am followed by a special meditation. I would like this even to raise some much needed funds for her medication and collectively generate enough love and energy to help her fight on.
World AIDS Day is a day to show your support for people living with HIV and to commemorate those that have died. It can be hard to do this when faceless victims become just another statistic. I new we thought this would happen to someone I know and love so much.
I would like to take this opportunity to remind people that this disease is very real and that we can do something to help at least one girl in need.
