Irene M. Breast Cancer Treatment

My mom has stage II b Breast Cancer. She was first diagnosed on November 20th, 2017. Her journey so far has been one of victories and challenges. Her first surgery to remove cancer left her with some complications that led to blood clots and internal bleeding. After an emergency surgery she slowly started to recover. 

We recieved word that her cancer has spread to a lymph node and fatty tissue in her arm. Her RT-PCR  score (risk of reacurance score) is 23. That is on the high end of the intermediate zone. In order to lower her risk % of recurrence she will be starting chemo in a week and a half.

Unfortunately at the beginning of her medical leave her employer announced that they are closing in May. With that she no longer has a job to return to after chemo. She will also lose her current medical insurance at the end of next month.

While applying for disability we also found out that her employer did not pay into CA disability. So my mom is not eligible for disability.  Leaving us to pay for medical expenses and pay/find her health insurance coverage.

All funds will go towards my moms medical expenses such as: health insurance premiums, medications,  hospital copays and travel expenses.
