Help Support the Ford-Pain Family

On 1st Oct 2022, Nathan Ford-Pain was attacked in an unprovoked assault whilst he returned home from a night out with his girlfriend and best friend. He was hit from behind, resulting in him losing consciousness and sustaining a severe head injury and swelling to the brain.

Nathan was rushed to the hospital, where emergency surgery took place to save his life. Each day we pray for a miracle, but we constantly face complications and more uncertainty.

We have been told that the road to recovery is long and that Nathan’s life may be forever changed.

Anyone who knows Nathan will understand the true devastation that this incident has brought to his family and friends. A wonderful young man with a kind, loving soul, and everything to live for.

We are raising money to help Nathans family cover expenses over the coming months/years. He will require the best specialists and treatments to help in his recovery. This fund will make his healing in the hospital and home more comfortable and aid in getting him the therapy he needs to obtain the best possible outcome.

We thank you very much for your love, support and prayers during this difficult time.

UPDATE 10.10.22
Thank you to so many for all your kind words, thoughts, and actions over the past 10 days

Nathan remains in intensive care as he is still critically ill. They have finally been able to turn sedation off last night, so hopefully, today, he will open his eyes, and we can learn more about what his future holds with regard to his injured brain.

He had a tracheostomy performed to assist with clearing secretion from his chest. Unfortunately, he was sick a few days ago, and some has gone onto his lungs - so he now fights infection, but he is a strong, healthy, fit man (the strongest man in Grantham, he would say!) so he’ll do this, I’m sure.

He had the staples removed from his head yesterday. In 6 months, they may perform further surgery and replace the missing skull with a metal plate. Over the weekend, he made movements and seemed to respond to pain, so...Baby steps…

We have been told he will be in the hospital for a long time yet…and his recovery will take a year or longer.

He is still our gorgeous Nath, and the nurses keep him looking his best - bless him.

Thank you again for your love and very kind donations, which will significantly help his recovery. If only he could be healed by love alone xxx
