STAGE 4 BREAST CANCER

Donation protected

This is my best friend Brandi , we have become extremely close over a very short time. A few years ago she beat stage 1 cancer and had been very compliant with her Dr visits and advise. Brandi was also compliant with chemo and any other oral medications a had her do. She was told she was in remission on her stage 1 breast cance. Due to all of her complications she endured she ended up having 26 surgeries and her oncologist still wants her to have another one at least. She had a small spot come up between her right breast and underarm that was the size of BB. She reported numerous times to her oncologist and primary doctors ans other medical personnel of how painful the small spot was each and every time she went to a visit. All of doctor's would tell her it was most likely scar tissue due to all of the complications she had had prior and did not find it necessary to biopsy what started out in the tiny spot. This spot begin growing rapidly and becoming increasingly painful. It became unbearable and her mother took her to the ER. This is the point where she found out that what the previous doctors assumed was only scar tissue n fact turned out to be stage 4 breast cancer that had metastasized into her heart, lungs and worst of all into her bones. She was sent home with the impression that there was nothing that could be done for her. She was given a prognosis then that she had 2 years to live and that was a little over a year ago. She got very sick over the last week and was running fever and we all encouraged her to go to the doctor. The ER Department admitted her due to the fact that she was technically suffocating on fluid that was inside of her lungs. They did and an extremely painful procedure where they put a large bore needle into the lungs and pull out the fluid. The amount they pulled out was 1300 milligrams. This is very scary and she is lucky to be alive at that point alone. They sent her home on March 30th 2018 with hospice and they gave her a prognosis of ONLY a few weeks or less of Life to Live. The doctors and nurses encouraged her to do any and everything possible that she felt capable of doing to live out this last couple of weeks of her life with her children as happy as possible and to make some of the best memories as you can. She is on a fixed income and her oldest daughter is her caregiver and her youngest daughter is 13 and has not been told yet said her momma is about to pass away quickly and in a very painful way. I am asking that people please show her some compassion and kindness so that maybe she can do a few things with her children and be able to get her Affairs in order so it does not fall back on her children. There is a whole lot more to the story that is unbearably sad. We all will keep posting update and photos on her status. Please feel free to add photos and good memories here on this page so it can be printed out for her children to be able to read first hand accounts of what a good person their mother Brandi is and has been in her short 39 years of life. Brandi's mother is also going through a second round of breast cancer. Please feel free to directly ask any questions and I will try my best to get them answered.
