Help Ella To Ride A Bike

This is Ella, our daughter who was diagnosed with an Anaplastic Astrocytoma (brain tumour) in 2007 when she was just 3. Following all of her treatment; surgery, chemotherapy & radiotherapy Ella was left with physical disabilities, learning difficulties and a large number of medical issues, but fortunately she is still with us. Part of Ella's tumour remains as it is too deep within her brain to be removed and unfortunately it is located in the Hypothalamus area of her brain which affects metabolism etc. This means that Ella will put weight on even if she eats nothing! She is also in a wheelchair so is unable to get much exercise. She cannot use her right arm or leg so doing any exercise is very difficult. We have recently come across a 'bike' through school which Ella can use whilst in her wheelchair which allows her to exercise her legs and has meant she has actually lost 1 kg through using the bike. Unfortunately the bike costs £4,880 and we want to try and raise the money to buy one for home so that she is able to exercise on a daily basis which we hope will help with her weight and also strengthen her legs and generally assist with her overall health.
