New Year, New Prosthetic!

Hi, my name is Amanda Doyle, and I am trying to raise money for my husband, Blake Doyle. He is in dire need of a new prosthetic with a new liner! Blake walks around every day on his prosthetic that is falling apart. The achilles is broken and held together with duct tape. He is basically walking around on a peg. His liner is also in two pieces. He has to use a cane because he is in pain due to blisters and sores on his limb. It breaks my heart to see him this way. He isn't as active as he would be if he had a prosthetic that wasn't falling apart. I thank God every day that they haven't gotten so infected to the point of having more surgery. His doctor says, he should stay off his limb to let it heal, but Blake wants to provide for us, so he continues to put his broken prosthetic on and go to work.
For those of you who do not know Blake, he lost his leg as a teenager in a freak accident. He was with his twin brother Bart, and his friend Drew. Drew's truck was stuck in a sandpit and Blake and his twin were trying to pull the truck out with a winch cable on Bart's jeep. Blake asked his brother to back the jeep up before realizing the cable was looped around his leg. By the time Blake yelled stop, it was to late. Blake is the strongest person I know, and I can't imagine what he went through, and what he is still going through. He just goes through each day trying to act as though he isn't handicapped because he doesn't want pity. He always has a smile on his face no matter how much pain he is in.
When anyone meets Blake, they love him! He loves to make people laugh. He is kind hearted and very loving. I could go on and on about how Wonderful he is, but I will just finish by saying how appreciative I know he would be if people would help him get a new leg. I am so ready for my husband to get some quality of life back. I too, would be so Grateful for your help.
