A Burial For Margaret
Donation protected
I am Alvis Edwards, Margaret Wimbish’s baby sister. I ‘d like to share Margaret’s story with you. Margaret was diabetic, and due to complications, she loss one of her legs about 4 years ago. But she didn’t let that get her down. She continued to work in her community driving her neighbors to the store, work, and church. She worked at the Salvation Army ringing the bell during Christmas. She opened her door to many homeless people and occasionally a stray pup to give them a home and food to eat. Margaret herself was a poor woman but she’s feed many.
Almost 2 months ago Margaret went to the hospital to check on a pain in her leg and discovered that her 2nd leg had to be removed and that she had lung cancer. While in the hospital, she was evicted and loss all that was important to her, her family pictures.
Margaret died Monday morning, but before passing she was proud to share that she had an insurance policy and asked to be buried in Columbus, Georgia near her church family. Unfortunately, I was told yesterday after selecting her casket and flowers that her policy was too New. She purchased her policy in June of 2017 but she didn’t live long enough to benefit from it.
Margaret did not want to be cremated. She died in peace knowing that I would do my best to honor her wishes. We need $6800 to bury Margaret. My family would appreciate any assistance in raising this money. Thank You!
