Paul Biggs Spring Break Wreck

Donation protected
While taking a rare vacation to see my sister in Arizona, my husband, Paul, embarked on a short motorcycle ride with family that ended in an unexpected crash.  Now my husband is having surgery to repair his broken pelvis in an out-of-state hospital (not sure what the insurance will cover), and we are facing extra costs to get home.

As he got on my brother-in-law’s motorcycle he mugged for the camera and said, “I’m living the dream.”  He loved taking advantage of the opportunity to ride a motorcycle again.  He gave up that dream four years ago when he married me and adopted my boys, trading motorcycle dreams for making their dream of having a dad come true.

This has become more important since our youngest boy became sick last year with unexplained fatigue and joint pain.  We’re still visiting specialists in our quest to find answers and make him whole again.  I’m just so grateful that Paul is still with us and know he’ll be a great example to his son about perseverance.

I’d like to take the opportunity to thank the selfless bystanders in Mesa, Arizona who immediately worked to stop traffic to protect Paul and worked to help him in every way, including finding him a pillow and blanket in two minutes flat.  There was love and support poured out to him by perfect strangers and I can’t praise them highly enough.  Mesa is an amazing city.

I’ve set up this Go Fund Me account in response to the family and friends who want to help but aren’t sure how to do it with Paul so far away from home.
