Help A Local Rescue In Need

Forsaken Bullies Rescue is a no kill, volunteer run, foster home based dog rescue in Salem, OR. As the name implies, they tend to take on bully breeds and mixes, but there are no limits to their compassion for all dogs. Since February of 2017 they have had about 140 dogs of all breeds spayed/neutered and otherwise fully vetted and placed into wonderful homes. That’s a lot of work to do for a small group of dedicated families! They constantly host fundraisers to raise the money for the work that they do. But in August of 2017 they hit the first in a series of major setbacks that have financially devastated their mission to help canines in this community. First came the unexpected death of a beloved family member. Shortly after that, the owners of the rescue were involved in a car accident. A few months later, complications from pneumonia had one of them in the hospital for over a week, and soon one of them will be undergoing surgery to repair some damage left over from the car accident. Through it all, they have continued to pay what they can towards their vet bill, but because they have been unable to fundraise for several months, the bill is still growing. If they cannot find a solution soon, they will have to make the difficult decision to completely halt all rescue efforts until they can catch up. I have worked with many of the wonderful dogs they have helped, and I would hate to see the doors close on such a wonderful community resource. I am asking to see if anyone would be willing to help with this unexpected and very difficult setback. 100% of funds will go directly to offset the costs of vet care. No donation is too small.
