Allies Emergency Surgery

She’s home!!!!!! with a long ways ahead! But will pull through. This was/is a very serious case that through everyone including the great people at Guardian Veterinary specialists through so many scary nights. But she’s a serious fighter.

This is Allie she’s a spunky happy active 11year old yorkie who loves going for runs every day and then looking forward to sleeping and playing with her family as much as possible the rest of the day and every piece of attention she can get from anybody who wants a kiss or just who will stop and say hello. She has been my baby for her whole 11 years and out of nowhere on Monday 3/5 she began non stop vomiting for no reason. We took her in to her vet to see what was wrong and she had to stay the night. She has never been away from us both at the same time. So even that alone was heart wrenching. The next day was another nor’ easter they called us and told us her gallbladder might rupture and to take her somewhere else after 1 night and 3400 there we rushed her over to Guardian Veterinary specialists in Brewster (AMAZING) which we learned when we walked in was only open since the Thursday before but run by local veterinarian Dr Jason Berg. Our baby girl Allie saw Dr Jana Josel first who brought Allie back to us within a half hour and said they needed to do surgery she was out of our arms in under two hours and in surgery. That turned into a complicated surgery for our little 7lb baby and found out her liver is not doing so great but on the mend and she had her gallbladder removed stones lodged a stint put around her small intestine since it needed to be cut open too and she has an ongoing case of pancreatitis that is keeping her in the hospital now for her 8th night and breaking our hearts. We want her back home with her mommies. And she is in great spirits and fighting her way back but must overcome her angry pancreas so she can start eating without a feeding tube. We need our baby to keep getting the care the wonderful team of Drs and nurses and the staff at Guardian in Brewster is giving her till she gets the all clear. SOON. But now our savings have run out. Her bill there alone has exceeded $10,000 that’s not including the one night the first vet somehow charged us $3400 for. Please if you can find it in your hearts to donate anything to Allies care no amount is to small. It will help more than you will ever imagine. Prayers and well wishes welcome also. We need our Allie girl back already. She’s the light of my life.
