Surgery for Chloe

Donation protected
As most of you know, Chloe is my sassy little dog and best friend of nine years. I’ve been blessed with having her most of her life (minus the early puppy weeks), but apparently with older age comes health issues. Chloe has had an angry eye for a couple months and I know I can be a crazy dog Mom, but my gut told me something more was seriously wrong. She went into the doctor today (thank you to my saint of a mother for taking her so I didn’t have to miss work), but unfortunately the news wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for. She had a large tumor on her spleen that had to be removed with emergency surgery. Chloe has to stay overnight tonight at the vet for recovery and so I won’t get to cuddle her better until tomorrow. But we are also waiting on results for if it’s cancerous or not and if it is, other treatment will most likely be looked at and necessary. But I have my fingers and toes crossed that it isn’t cancerous! I try to be a fairly positive and private person, so most of you might not know that life has been tough since September of 2017. It’s been a hard few months of ending a long relationship, moving back home to Athens, going back to school, losing a grandparent, and then in November I was laid off from my full-time job. Well after months of applying to anything and everything, I got a new job a week ago, but between paying for college, keeping up with bills, Chloe’s medical issues, and just now starting to have an income again, things have been hard. Like the saying “when it rains, it pours.” (Holy cow is that true). But with that said, Chloe has no doubt been one of, if not the best thing that’s ever happened to me. She has taught me so much. Most importantly about what it means to love and be loved unconditionally. I’ve made a promise to her now and so many times before that I will do my very best to care for her and give her the best, happiest, and longest life possible. I know that she’s got a lot of miles left in her and I plan to be there for every on of every mile. Anything that you can give, if it’s money or just all the well wishes and love and strength, we would be happy to accept and I promise to continue gracing your need feed with her adorable face and fuzzy feet.Xoxox,Halli and Chloe
