Niko’s Cleft Palate Surgery

This is Niko, a 3 month old Samoyed who was born with a cleft palate. When his mom had 10 puppies and we found out about his condition, the vet suggested we put him down. He was consistently half the size of the others, but we decided we would do anything we could to keep this little puppy alive, including tube feeding him for months. Now that he’s bigger, his cleft palate has only gotten larger, which severely affects what he can eat and he’s prone to serious problems because of it. With this surgery, he’ll be able to eat and drink like a regular dog and we won’t have to worry about infections that could seriously hurt him. He’s the sweetest puppy you will ever meet, and he loves to play with his mom, Blue, and his older sister, Rhea. Please consider helping out this puppy, if anyone’s had a rough life, it’s been him.
