Supporting Tony Scherer and Family

Tony Scherer is an amazingly generous soul. He is a thoughtful father, and adoring husband and an active member in his community and company alike.

Tony Scherer was diagnosed with Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma on May 13th, 2011 at the age of 45. He is married to his beautiful wife Lisa and together they have three sons, Luke (19), Tyler (20), and Jake (22) and they live in Belle Plaine, MN. Tony has been a dedicated employee at SunSource for just over 15 years.

Tony has been battling his cancer with every opportunity that has been presented to him include multiple surgeries, chemo and radiation as well as alternative methods. He has been out of work for several months and experiencing mounting medical bills. Daily, Tony experiences fatigue, headaches, nauseous and vision problems. Although his radiation treatments are completed, the radiaton continues to work in the system creating many flu-like systems that do not disipate for some time.

Update: Sadly Tony passed away at 3:30PM on Monday, January 20th, 2014. He passed peacefully in his home surrounded by his family. Donations are still very much accepted and appreciated as the family transitions through this difficult time of loss.
