Help two lives dramatically changed

Donation protected
On Friday March 2nd, Amber told her mom it was date night and she was excited. They talked about her young son that had recently earned his orange belt and that he needed protective equipment for tai quan do... he is ready to spar. That she and Andrew were going to dinner and the beach for date night. Nice evening for a ride on their motorcycle.  In an instant their lives and their families lives were changed. They were sitting at a stoplight and just when the light turned green and they were rear ended by a SUV estimated at over 50 mph per witnesses. This is what they were told because they heard nothing they were lying unconscious! Amber in the middle of the street and Andrew on a sidewalk. By the grace of God he sent two people to watch over them. Both were pastors. One stood over her to keep her from getting hit by cars and one by Andrew. These men were praying over them when they awoke. Ems arrived and they were transported to the hospital. Amber went into emergency surgery immediately where a member of the trauma team stated she was lucky to be alive. Both sustained serious injuries.  Andrew has 6 fractures to his spine, multiple stitches in his face. They had to remove his teeth from his lips and stitches on his foot and leg, major road rash.  Amber woke to 9 fractures to her back, pelvis, hip, ribs and ankle. A screw was inserted in her pelvis during surgery. Trouble breathing, shots in her stomach to prevent blood clots etc. Today she walked on one leg for the first time taking a few baby steps. Tomorrow Andrew may be facing surgery for infection in foot. His mouth has been stitched twice along with his foot. They are facing painful physical therapy, prescriptions will have to be filled. Shots given in their stomach. They face many doctors visits, medical equipment, transportation and many other obstacles once discharged. They are both unable to work and they have no health insurance.  Andrew was to ship out with merchant marines on April 2nd, he now will not be able to. Hopefully, with your help somehow this will also raise awareness for motorcycle safety. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity in helping Amber and Andrew through this most difficult time. Please feel free to contact Kim, Amber's mom, at any time with any questions. Email is the preferred method of communication. Ambers mom will be managing and paying for all supplies and needs for this couple. If you'd like to donate and prefer another method please email Kim at [email redacted]. Thank you so much. Keep those prayers coming!
