IVF Pretreatment Funding

As many will know I have been trying to conceive for about 8 years now, I was let down at a very young age by a cluster of medical professionals which led to an outcome I really never anticipated.
At the age of 14 I had a severe stabbing pain in the right side of my abdomen, this went on for years. There were days where I couldn’t eat or sleep and would stay up screaming in pain for hours, because of my age the doctors did very little investigation into my ovary and tube and instead chose to say I was constantly constipated. Later down the line I was in a hospital in London just for a check up on a few other health conditions I had, the pain had started to get worse and worse, the doctors there immediately said my appendix had ruptured and wanted me to stay on my own in their hospital. I was far too scared to do that alone so ended up coming back to Hastings, within hours I was backat the conquest hospital and admitted.

later we found out that I had ovarian torsions, polycystic ovaries and a cluster of non-cancerous tumours on both sides, after a laparoscopy it was described my consultant as “the rarestthing he had seen in his medical career, the Fallopian tube and the ovary have been swinging for so long that they have mangled up into each other” he had tried to save them by stitching them up in place but within a month the stitches didn’t work and they both fell back down. Within days I was admitted again and had an emergency operation which led to the removal of my right tube and ovary, I must of been only 17/18. I was then advised that any pregnancy Ihave would come with a high risk of being ectopic or miscarriage.

since then my left tube and ovary has til been suffering, we’ve been trying to conceive religiously for years. My chances had already decreased by 50%, we were prescribe metformin, clomifene for a long period of time. My AMH levels were checked regularly, But since my last check up my body has stopped ovulating, my periods are much much heavier and my pain is back with a vengeance. However, we did manage to get pregnant in the last week of December and baby king decided to stay for just a few short weeks before deciding to then leave us.  We knew their time was short lived and we expected what happened, but we’re thankful.

I am now 23 years old, recently married to a man who works his socks off to provide what he can for us with a dog who causes no end of trouble(joke!)
following a phone call we had yesterday with my consultant it has been advised that we start my egg freezing as soon as possible. We will not be able to conceive naturally from here on out and will have to have IVF, I have an urgent appointment with him face to face as soon as it is safe to do so to examine me and have a further look which means another operation. We’ve also been referred for a bypass to help lose some of my weight to help with IVF as I gaineda huge amount of weight from different treatments over the years. I’m naturally a chunky woman anyway but having PCOS and a cocktail of treatments hasn’t been kind to my tummy.
we were trying to raise money to help with privately freeze our eggs and hopefully later create embryos to then put into my womb of the womb of a surrogate when the time comes but we’ve found a clinic willing to take us on. We need help finding a chunk of the money needed to fund the actual procedure, we’re hoping you guys can help!

we appreciate all the help, support and advice we have received over the last few years and we’re grateful for it all.
