Please, help us get Klay trained.

We are raising money for Saw Klay tuition fees at Hartland Institute.  He has been accepted to study Health Ministry.  The amount will cover his tuition fees for the year and his travel expense.

Why help Saw Klay?
As in the video above, there is a lack of trained medical missionary in Burma, especially among the Karen in South-east Burma.  Klay is one of the few young people here that is mission minded, dedicated, spiritual, with sufficient education foundation to pursue higher study.

Our goal is to start a health centre here at Emerald Missionary Training Centre on the border of Thailand and Burma.  At the same time, Klay will train more medical missionaries, so that we can hasten the work following the blueprint given to us by the Spirit of Prophecy.

As Sister White said, "One worker who has been trained and educated for the work, who is controlled by the Spirit of Christ, will accomplish far more than ten laborers who go out deficient in knowledge, and weak in the faith." EV 109.3

We pray that Klay will become that trained worker among us here along the border of Thailand and Burma.

Who is Klay?

I met Klay in Maela Refugee camp when I was teaching at Eden Valley Academy in 2013-15.  He was a brilliant student, very spiritual and greatly involved with school and church activities.  He came from a Buddhist family, but after hearing the gospel he decided to become a follower of Jesus Christ.

After his graduation from the academy, he was offered a scholarship to study at Asia Pacific International University (APIU), however  his desire is to become a medical missionary, and going to APIU will not achieve the goal.   He turned the offer down and decided to join us at Emerald Missionary Training Centre, where we offer 4 months Bible worker training.  After that he volunteered to serve in one of our schools in a remote village of Mutraw district, South-east Burma.

After completing a year at the school, he stayed behind to help train teachers how to teach English at primary level, instead of going home to his mother in the refugee camp.

We appreciate your support in anyway that you can, either by prayers, financially or by just helping us share this link.

May God bless you.
