A scan for Dan

Today we got a message from the Specialist. They are sending Hubby's file to Sherbrooke so that they can schedule his scan. (It is a brand new/still in trial stage scan that has been HUGELY successful in finding tumors like the ones he has.) It is the only place in Canada where this specific scan is available. At first, we were relieved because traveling to the states would be really expensive and the travel would not be easy. Recently I have learned that Quebec doesn't have an agreement(and doesn't play nice) with Medicare. The only way to get any coverage from my health plan is if Quebec sends a pre approval request to Medicare, then I can send whatever they decline for pre aporoval...(and there is still no guarantee) well...Quebec doesnt like to do that so it kinda puts a wrench in things. As a result, we will have to pay the cost of travel, the scan and any hospital stay/expenses ourselves-up front. Just the scan is close to $2000 (and we already pay over $900 a month for his medications). I have been praying for 10 years that God will get us through and he has never left our side. Now I am praying that I can get him to Sherbrooke which is his first (and last) shot at a cure in 10 years. Anyone who knows me, knows that I struggle to ask for help, but right now we need all the help we can get.❤
