Pablo and His mother need help!!!!

A note from my father on 10 year old in Belize.As many of you know, Pablo was the big story of our trip this year from our Surgery Perspective. Pablo was the 10-year-old boy who presented to us with a large left neck mass and left chest wall mass. Pablo had a biopsy performed six months ago but the mother was unable to pay the pathologist to get a final diagnosis or report. Pablo presented to us on screening day and was scheduled for Surgery. So with the wonderful care from the surgery team and Dr. Kevin Carpenter’s expertise we were able to successfully remove the neck mass and chest wall mass and he came in for his follow up care the week we were there. With our connections, we were able to formally conclude that the child is suffering from Nodular Sclerosing Hodgkin’s Lymphoma… certainly a terminal illness without treatment!Pablo has been entered into the healthcare system now and is able to see an Oncologist and receive chemotherapy in Mexico. However the mother is unable to afford the transportation required for his daily care.
