Help Get Dad Home

My name is Abi McVaney. My dad had the flu that weakened his system, making him vulnerable to virus’ that are rare but deadly. He was rushed to an emergency room after a week of being prescribed tamaflu. Guillain-Barre (gee-YAH-buh-RAY) syndrome is a rare disorder in which your body's immune system attacks your nerves. Weakness and tingling in your extremities are usually the first symptoms. These sensations can quickly spread, eventually paralyzing your whole body. In its most severe form Guillain-Barre syndrome is a medical emergency. Most people with the condition must be hospitalized to receive treatment. I am creating this in hopes to help raise some money to pay for his treatments and his stay in the hospital for we also do not know when he will be getting out. This will be a long recovery.
