Melissa Merrill Medical Fund

Melissa has been suffering from Crohn’s Disease complications since 2003. She has been hit with an overwhelming amount of medical bills leading to possible bankruptcy. Melissa has been unable to work from recurring flares that include hospitalizations and several surgeries for chronic fistulas, abscess, sepsis, fevers, malnutrition, fatigue and debilitating pain. She now needs to start on a medication that is very expensive even with insurance. The hope is that this will close some of the fistulas causing abscesses and she can have drains removed. Hospitalizations, medical visits, ostomy supplies, wound care and medications are extremely expensive and needed to continue her fight. She has had three surgeries in the last couple months and is very sick and weak. This disease has tried to take her life multiple times but, she continues to fight and needs help.
