Help Tee Make a Full Recovery

On Monday November fourth, my horse, Teeser didn't come in from the field. The owner of the barn found him in the back of the pasture standing in a huge pool of blood, with half of his side hanging off. After the vet arrived we quickly made the decision he had to go to a surgical equine hospital - the closest one being Rood & Riddle over an hour away in Lexington. After 4 hours of surgery - he was stable. He has a broken rib and a punctured chest cavity, not to mention TONS of stitches in both the muscle and skin. After surgery, things were going quite well. Then they discovered a fungal ulcer in his eye - unrelated - just horrible luck. He could lose his sight or his eye. He was going to be coming home soon, and now I don't know when he'll come home. Rood & Riddle is one of the best equine hospitals in the country, and for that I am thankful - but the bill for all this awesome care is not something I was prepared for. I simply can't do it alone. Anything you can do to contribute, even if it's a dollar, will help with Teeser's growing medical bills. When I thought I was going to lose my partner of 10 years there was no choice, I was going to do whatever it took to save him.
