Carter’s Road to Recovery
This is our sweet Carter, who was recently diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Carter is an amazing little boy who is always full of laughter and smiles. Carter is currently receiving care at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital, which is a ways from the family’s home in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He immediately started receiving chemotherapy treatments and had to have multiple blood transfusions. Even through all of this, you can still find a smile on Carter’s face. He will need to stay in the hospital for a period of time and once he is strong enough to go home, he will still need to return for weekly treatments. Carter is such a tough little guy and comes from a long line of survivors, but he will need lots of prayers and support while he works towards remission.
During this time, Carter’s family will incur many medical and travel expenses. There has already been an overwhelming amount of prayers and compassion, that is appreciated more than words can say. The most important thing we ask for is continued prayers and support. Many family and friends have already offered financial support, and any contribution is much appreciated. Even the smallest amount helps.
Carter’s parents (Mandy and Kyle Piglowski), family and friends are extremely devastated to see him go through this battle, but with lots of prayers and support we know he will make it through.
