Alaska Adventure For Steve

(Steve and his aid/friend, Pam Zabel)Hi there, I am seeking help in fulfilling a dream for a great friend of ours, Steve Champine. In the fall of 1995, Steve tragically fell out of his tree stand and his life was forever changed. Before his accident, he was a very active man who loved racing mortorcycles, hunting, and spending time with family, especially his kids Travis and Samantha. Throughout his recovery and circumstances, Steve prevailed, never losing his love for life and those around him. 23 years later, Steve is still in a chair, with limited mobility of one arm, which he is thrilled to use to hug his family and friends. He recently accomplished being able to drive his own van with a joy stick, giving him independence and mobility. He has also become an accomplished artist, using his mouth and a paintbrush taped to a pvc tube that goes on his finger! Anyone who knows Steve will tell you he is one of the most positive, generous people they have ever met. He focuses on what he can do and considers himself lucky. Steve works at a local sporting-goods store. He volunteers at the homeless shelter and also at an elementary school helping children build their reading skills. Steve also donates his breath taking paintings for charity events to help others. One of Steve’s ultimate lifelong goals has been to take a trip to see Alaska’s amazing views. With the help of his good friend/aid, Pam Zabel and her husband Chris, an Alaska trip has been planned for August. We have set up this go-fund me for anyone that would like to help with expenses to give Steve the gift of a lifetime.
