Greg - Odyssey Comics and Cards

Our father, Greg, was admitted to the hospital Tuesday June 19th and passed away June 22nd. He suffered from both multiple strokes and heart blockage, so was in the ICU for these for days. Over 20 years ago, when he got laid-off from the steel industry, Greg made the decision to do what he loves and to serve the community by opening a small comic book and sport card shop. This turned out to be one of the best decisions of his life, as Greg would have told you, but unfortunately it left him without health insurance for many years as it does a lot of small business owners.

Our goal is to help our mom raise some funds so this sudden tragedy doesn’t wipe her out financially and to try to give her some peace of mind. If you know my parents, you know that they were the first ones to always help someone in need. Whether it be giving a child a sports card or something just to make his day, displaying a customer’s art-work to help start his career, to helping friends paint their home or just lending them a patient ear to listen. I know they were always there for their family, friends, community in any way that they possibly could be, so now it’s our turn to help.

My dad was a great soul, man, father, husband and grand-father. He knew what was important in life and was never focused on material things. He lived, truly lived, a life that is an example to all of us. Dad you will be missed so much, we all love you, and will see you when it’s our time.
