My name is Amir Abedrabbo and Cristian Ayala, my roommate, is in need of urgent help. Even though he has finally made it to college, our university is demanding him to pay 1500 dollars by next Friday. As a friend I can't let Cristian drop out of college for financial reasons.
Normally, $1,500 doesn't seem like too much to pay for a college education, but Cristian is unable to qualify for loans at the moment, his Cal grant was pulled out, and his student loans were not able to pull through either. He's been talking with the school's financial aid office and they told him that there is not much they can do except refer him to some scholarships.
His family back home has been struggling to bring Cristian to where he is and they are merely $1,500 short from securing their son's future. Cristian hasn't had a perfect life either. His biological father left his family and him at a young age, and his stepfather was abusive to him and his family and also fell out of the picture. He has been the man of his house since he was twelve; caring for his mother, little brother, and little sister. He has left with the goal to maintain his education so that in the long run he can better his family's future. His ultimate goal is to help his family in the most significant way possible, with his education. However, he's incapable of doing that if he can't stay in school, and all the hard work that he and his family have so painfully fought for would go to waste only for a trivial amount of money that he owes the school he's dropped out.
Unfortunately, the university will soon cut all of Cristian's classes and activities if the $1,500 is not paid. This could add another year to his college education and his goal of helping his family will be that much farther from him. He has been un-enrolled from his classes and with the pressure of succeeding in college, looking for financial resources, and with a struggling family back home, he really needs help. Please don't allow Cristian's hard work go in vain; please help someone who deserves an education. Even if you are not able to contribute, your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated.
