A Service Dog For Celeste

Donation protected
Celeste “Ace” Padron has been struggling with anxiety and depression for five years. She experiences debilitating panic attacks that keep her from living life to its fullest. We have been working with her doctor and counselor to improve her symptoms but there is a gap that medicine cannot fill. It was recommended by her medical professionals to apply for a service dog to help bridge the gap.Through the help of Midwest Assistance Dogs we are able to provide her with the additional support she needs to live a fulfilling life. Our goal is to raise $6000 to purchase a specifically trained service dog that will be able to accompany Celeste everywhere she goes.
Depression
by Celeste “Ace” Padron
To die, you must first live. Some feel as if they are a ghost with a beating heart. They feel like they are drowning in an ocean of self-hatred and depression. They are their worst enemy. But, how bad could it possibly be? For pain is what keeps us going. Yet, too much pain can bring us to our knees, it can destroy even the strongest person. We fight a war within our minds every waking day, hoping it won’t be our last. We hide our pain behind a broken smile whose purpose serves as a false sense of hope for the ones we care about. The scares we hide are from battles we lost within ourselves. Though as long as you are alive, you have not lost the war. If you truly wish to die then you must first live and this, my friend, is not living.
